“NEPTŪNAS” TOOK 2ND PLACE IN THE SIX TEAM TOURNAMENT

Klaipėda, “Neptūnas“ took 2nd place in the six team tournament in Alytus; the players of Dainius Adomaitis succumbed to the team Vilnius, “Lietuvos rytas” with a final score of 68:79 (18:20, 21:23, 13:18, and 16:18).

After the first halftime there was a 4 point difference between the teams – 39:43; however, at the end of the match the players from Vilnius were able to amass a two-digit lead and celebrate their victory.

Martynas Mažeika scored 17 points (5 assists), 11 - Donatas Zavackas and Jerai Grant each, Arvydas Šikšnius - 10, Gilvydas Biruta - 6, Mindaugas Girdžiūnas - 5, Arnas Butkevičius - 4, and 2 - Simas Galdikas and Daniel Ewing each.

Among the ranks of “Lietuvos rytas” Artūras Gudaitis and Gediminas Orelikas scored 15 points each, Rokas Giedraitis added 12 points.

We would like to remind you that in this tournament the players from “Neptūnas“ in their group matches have won against the team Gdynia, „Asseco“ (Poland) with the result of 69:68 (18:16, 13:12, 19:20, 19:20) and defeated the local team “Dzūkija” with the result of 89:73 (18:15, 25:13, 23:29, 23:15). The players from Klaipėda became the winners of group B.
